Party Parrot was released by MAC in their Iris Apfel collection.

They describe it as “Bright Red-Pink”

Right away when I started to apply this lipstick, I knew I was in love. A lot of times with lipsticks you have to go over your lips a few times before you get the true color. As soon as I applied this,  the color was opaque. I am usually not a big fan of matte lipsticks because they tend to dry out my lips quite a bit. This matte is very different. It is very creamy in texture but still gives the wonderful pop of color that mattes usually provide. This color should work well on all skin tones and although it is very bright, I feel even those who don’t lean towards these types of colors can find a place for it in the arsenal. Maybe with a simple winged liner for a night out. It lasted for a whole 5 hours without having to reapply. Although, once I took it off my lips were a little stained.

I hope one day they will make this color permanent. Till than I’ll use it sparingly and hope it lasts until I can find a few more tubes somewhere!
